Oats Dhokla Recipe

Want to make your dhokla more nutritious and healthy add oats powder to the batter. Oats add more fiber to it along with proteins. This simple, soft and spongy dhokla can be an ideal breakfast for kids too.

6.0 Tbsp(79.0 gm) Nestlé A+ Curd
1.0 Tbsp(10.0 gm) Besan
4.0 Number(0.44 gm) Kadi Patta
1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Sugar
1/4 Tsp(0.93 gm) Rai
0.13 Chopped Tsp(0.27 gm) Green Chilli
0.13 Tsp(0.37 gm) Hing
0.13 Tsp(0.56 gm) Fruit Salt
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1.0 Tsp(3.0 ml) Oil
  • Grind oats to make a fine oats powder.

  • In a bowl take 2 tbsp oats powder,1 tbsp besan, 1/2 tsp sugar, 1/4th tsp salt and 1/8th tsp hing.

  • Now add 1/8th tsp green chillies, 5.5 tbsp Nestlé A+ Curd,1/8th tsp fruit salt and mix all the ingredients well.

  • Grease a plate with oil and carefully pour prepared batter into the plate.

  • Steam it for 10 mins.

  • Insert a toothpick to check if the dhokla is ready.

  • For Tadka

    Heat oil in a small pan.

  • Add 1/4th tsp rai, 4 5 leaves of kadi patta and let it crackle .

  • Pour the hot tadka onto the plated dhokla.

  • Serve With Mint Chutney
