  • To make kofta, add mashed potato, and 1.5 tbsp ragi flour in a mixing bowl.

  • Add 1/4th tsp salt, mix well and shape into a kofta.

  • Heat oil in a pan, add kofta and fry until golden brown.

  • To make gravy, heat 1 tbsp butter in a pan.

  • Add 1/4th tsp each of jeera and chopped green chilli, and 1/2 a grated ginger.

  • Add whole spices like 2 cloves, 1 bay leaf, 1/4th piece of a cinnamon stick.

  • Add 1 tbsp of chopped onion and tomato and mix.

  • Add 1/2 tsp each of haldi and dhania powder, 1/4th tsp each of red chilli powder, garam masala and salt and mix well.

  • Add sufficient water and let it simmer into a gravy.

  • Add kofta into the prepared gravy and boil well.

  • Finally, add 2 tsp cream, cover with a lid and cook.

  • Serve hot with rice or chapati.
