Nachni Khakra Recipe

Khakhras are loved by kids for the crunch it offers. Enrich the nutrition by kneading it with calcium-rich Ragi flour. Simple, dry Nachni khakra can be carried anywhere for hunger pangs at any time.

1/4 Flour Cup(26.0 gm) Ragi
1/4 Cup(36.0 gm) Wheat Flour (Whole)
1/2 Tbsp(6.0 gm) White Til
1/4 Powder Tsp(0.54 gm) Red Chilly
1/4 Tsp(0.6 gm) Haldi
1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Salt
4.0 Tsp(16.0 gm) Ghee
2.0 Tsp(7.0 ml) Oil
20.0 Ml(20.0 ml) Water
  • In a bowl add 1/4th cup wheat flour, 1/4th cup ragi flour, 1/2 tsp salt,1/4th tsp haldi, 1/4th tsp red chilly powder, 1/2 tbsp white til and 2 tsp oil.

  • Add water & knead the dough well.

  • Take a lemon size dough, roll into roti and roast both sides.

  • Apply ghee on each side and roast on both side until crisp.
