Steps
- Step 1 Soak 1 tbsp rice and 1 tsp urad dal for 2 hours and grind it till smooth and keep it overnight to ferment
- Step 2 In the fermented batter, add 1 tbsp each of jowar flour, rajgira flour and ragi flour along with 1/4 tsp jeera, 1 tbsp chopped cabbage, 1 tbsp grated carrot, 1 tbsp chopped onion, 1/8 tsp salt and mix well
- Step 3 Add water and adjust the consistency if required
- Step 4 Grease idli tray with 1/2 tsp oil, pour the prepared batter into it, cover and steam till completely cooked
- Step 5 Serve hot with sambhar or coconut chutney
