Moringa Ragi Roti Recipe

Moringa Ragi Roti is a tandoori bread and is served with spicy mutton or chicken gravies. This shahi roti is a treat to the tastebuds. Ragi adds the goodness of calcium to the recipe.

10 Gm(10.0 gm) Shevaga Pan/Saijan Patta
1/4 Flour Cup(26.0 gm) Ragi
1.5 Tsp(6.0 gm) Ghee
15 Ml(15.0 ml) Water
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1/4 Cup(36.0 gm) Wheat Flour (Whole)
  • In a bowl add 1/4th cup wheat flour,1/4th cup ragi flour, chopped drumstick leaves,1/4th tsp salt, and mix well.

  • Pouring in a little water, knead it into a soft dough.

  • Rolling it into a ball form, coat it very lightly with refined flour. Flatten and make it in a circular roti shape using a rolling pin.

  • Apply ghee using a brush and sprinkle some flour on top of the flattened dough.

  • Cut the flatten dough in half and fold them.

  • Again apply ghee using a brush and sprinkle some flour.

  • Roll the 1 half of flattened dough and place it on another half and roll together.

  • Coat very lightly with refined flour. Then flatten and make it in a circular roti shape using a rolling pin.

  • Heat a nonstick tawa on a low flame and roast the roti on it.

  • Serve hot.
