Everyday bore with simple dal, give a twist of spices and flavour to your dal. This recipe is simple and yummy and can enjoy with roti or rice.
In a blender, blend 1/8th cup diced tomatoes and 1 tsp chopped green chillies into a paste. Keep aside.
Boil 1/4th cup whole green moong and keep aside.
Take a kadhai and heat 1 tsp oil.
To that add 1/4 tsp jeera, 2 cloves, 3 black pepper corns and allow it to crackle.
Then add 1/4 tsp red chilli powder, 1/4th tsp hing, 1/8th tsp haldi, 1 tsp coriander powder and water as required and mix well.
After it simmers, add 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste and tomato chilli paste. Mix well.
Then add boiled moong dal, 1/8th tsp salt, water as required and allow it to simmer.
Finally sprinkle 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves
Serve hot garnished with chilli.
