For Filling

Heat a pan, add 1/2 cup grated fresh coconut, 1/4 cup jaggery powder and roast until combines well.

Flavor it with 1/8 tsp green elaichi powder.

Mix all ingredients well till jaggery melts.

Give it a Nestle Twist by adding white sesame seeds

For Dough

In a kadhai boil water as required with 1/8 tsp salt.

Add 1/4 cup rice flour and stir well until it forms a smooth dough

Turn off the heat and knead into a soft dough.

Allow it to cool down.

Grease your palms with little ghee, take a small portion, shape into a round ball and flatten it.
- Step 12
Add a spoonful of the filling, seal the edges and shape into a modak
- Step 13
Place the modak on a greased plate and steam until soft.
- Step 14
Delicious modak is ready.
