Mixed Vegetable Dal Recipe

An excellent substitute for conventional dal is a recipe for mixed vegetable dal, which is delicious as well as loaded with protein.

2.0 Tbsp(34.0 gm) Tur Dal
1/2 Tbsp(5.0 gm) Peas
1.0 Chopped Tbsp(9.0 gm) Carrot
2.0 Chopped Tbsp(12.0 gm) Cabbage
1/4 Chopped Cup(28.0 gm) Onion
1/4 Chopped Cup(39.0 gm) Tomato
1.0 Chopped Tsp(0.92 gm) Coriander Leaves
1.0 Chopped Tsp(2.0 gm) Ginger
1/4 Powder Tsp(0.54 gm) Red Chilly
1/4 Tsp(0.74 gm) Hing
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1.0 Tsp(4.0 gm) Ghee
100.0 Ml(100.0 ml) Water
  • Heat 1 tsp ghee in a pan and add 1/4 cup chopped onion, 1 tsp chopped ginger, 1/4 cup chopped tomato and Saute the ingredients well.

  • Now add 1/4 cup mix vegetables, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp red chilli powder and 1/4 tsp hing.

  • Add some water, cover the pan with a lid and cook for a few minutes.

  • Then, add cooked tur dal and mix well.

  • Cover again and cook for 5 mins more.

  • Garnish the dal with 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves.

  • Sprinkle some mixed seeds for a nutritional twist.
