Mix Vegetable Oats Dhokla Recipe

This is a healthier version of regular dhokla, its full of vegetables and oats! Its loaded with fiber, iron and other vitamins.

1/4 Grated Tsp(0.47 gm) Ginger
1/8 Tsp(0.59 gm) Green Chilli Paste
1 Chopped Tbsp(5.0 gm) Violet Cabbage
1/8 Tsp(0.54 gm) Fruit Salt
1 Julienne Tbsp(8.0 gm) Capsicum
2 Grated Tbsp(19.0 gm) Carrot
1/2 Cup(121.0 gm) Nestlé A+ Curd
1 Tsp(5.0 ml) Oil
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Sugar
1/8 Tsp(0.37 gm) Hing
1/4 Tsp(0.93 gm) Rai
4 Number(0.44 gm) Kadi Patta
1 Tbsp(10.0 gm) Besan

  • For Dhokla

    Grind oats to make a fine oats powder.

  • In a bowl take oats powder,1 tbsp besan, 2 tbsp grated carrot, 1 tbsp julienne capsicum, 1 tbsp chopped purple cabbage, 1/2 tsp sugar, 1/4th tsp salt and 1/8th tsp hing.

  • Now add 1/8th tsp green chillies paste, 1/4th tsp grated ginger, 1/2 cup Nestlé A+ Curd,1/8th tsp fruit salt and mix all the ingredients well.

  • Grease a plate with 1/2 tsp oil and carefully pour prepared batter into the plate.

  • Steam it for 10 mins.

  • Insert a toothpick to check if the dhokla is ready.

  • For Tadka

    Heat 1 tsp oil in a small pan.

  • Add 1/4th tsp rai, 4 no. kadi patta and let it crackle .

  • Pour the hot tadka onto the plated dhokla.

  • Serve with mint chutney.
