A savoury fried snack from India, made protein rich with the moong dal and urad dal batter served with refreshing cooling mint chutney.
Soak 2 tbsp moong dal, 2 tbsp urad dal and grind into paste. Keep aside.
In a bowl, mix together, urad dal paste, moong dal paste, 1/2 tsp dhania seeds, 1/4th tsp jeera, 1/2 tsp chopped green chillies, 1/4th tsp salt, 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves, 1 tbsp chopped onions and mix well.
Make small portions of the batter and deep fry in oil.
Drain the vadas on an absorbent paper and serve hot with mint chutney.
