Mini Uttapam with Coconut Chutney Recipe

Mini uttapam is a healthy snack that is made of mixture of rice, dal and vegetables and is easy to make. Kids will love the mini versions of these uttapams. Served with coconut chutney these are irresistable !

1 Tsp(4.0 gm) Urad Dal
1/2 Tbsp(5.0 gm) Capsicum(Chopped)
1/2 Tbsp(6.0 gm) Tomato(Chopped)
1/2 Tbsp(4.0 gm) Onion(Chopped)
1/4 Tsp(0.23 gm) Coriander Leaves(Chopped)
1/8 Tsp(0.22 gm) Jeera Powder
1/8 Tsp(0.56 gm) Salt
1/2 Tsp(2.0 ml) Oil
As Required(20.0 ml) Water
1.5 Tbsp(23.0 gm) Dry Coconut
1.5 Tbsp(17.0 gm) Chana Dal
1/4 Tsp(0.53 gm) Green Chilli(Chopped)
1/4 Tsp(0.54 gm) Ginger(Chopped)
1/8 Tsp(0.56 gm) Salt
As Required(20.0 ml) Water
  • For Uttapam

    In a bowl add fermented batter.

  • Add 1/2 tbsp chopped onion, 1/2 tbsp chopped tomato, 1/2 tbsp chopped capsicum, 1/4th tsp chopped coriander leaves. Mix until all the ingredients are well combined.

  • Add 1/4th jeera powder, 1/8th tsp salt and mix slightly.

  • In a pan add 1 tsp oil and spread the prepared batter to make small round uttapams.

  • For chutney

    In a blender jar add 1 tbsp dry coconut, 1 tbsp chana dal, 1/8th tsp salt, 1/4th tsp chopped ginger and 1/4th tsp green chilli.

  • Blend until smooth.
