Methi Roti Recipe

An extremely nutritious variation given to a usual plain roti, increasing the fiber and iron content of the dish. Usually paired with a side of cool thick Nestlé A+ Curd or raita or a sabji.

4.0 Tbsp(30.0 gm) Wheat Flour (Whole)
3.0 Chopped Tbsp(9.0 gm) Methi Leaves
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Ginger Garlic Paste
1/4 Tsp(0.59 gm) Jeera
1/4 Powder Tsp(0.54 gm) Red Chilly
1/4 Tsp(0.6 gm) Haldi
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
0.75 Tsp(2.0 ml) Oil
15.0 Ml(15.0 ml) Water
  • In a bowl, add 1/4 cup wheat flour, 1/4 tsp haldi,1/4 tsp red chilli powder, 1/4 tsp jeera, and 1/4 tsp salt.

  • Now, add 1/4 tsp ginger garlic paste and 2.5 tbsp of chopped methi leaves.

  • Add some water and knead the dough well.

  • Take a small portion of the dough and roll the roti using a rolling pin.

  • Heat a tawa, add 1 tsp oil and roast.

  • Flip the roti and repeat until its roasted well.

  • Sprinkle white til and serve.
