Methi Matar Malai Recipe

  • Prepreparation

    Boil 2 tbsp peas and keep aside.

  • For the paste

    In a kadhai, add 2 tsp oil.

  • When the oil is heated, add 1/4th tsp jeera, 1/4th tsp grated ginger, 1/4th tsp garlic, 1 cardamom, 4 cashewnuts and 1 tbsp chopped onion.

  • Saut well and blend it to a smooth mixture. Keep aside.

  • For the gravy

    In another kadhai, heat 2 tsp oil.

  • Add the mixture along with 2 tbsp milk, 1/2 cup chopped methi leaves and mix well.

  • When it begins to simmer, add 1/4th tsp salt, 2 tbsp boiled peas, 2 tsp cream, 1/4th tsp garam masala and then garnish it with 1/2 tsp coriander leaves

  • Mix well and serve hot with chapatti.
