Methi Malai Murgh Recipe

A delectable and creamy, Methi Malai chicken made with spicy marinated chicken, methi leaves, cashew paste, cream and potent ingredients, making a flavourful dish for a weekend dinner that tastes great with rice or roti.

2.0 Chopped Tbsp(12.0 gm) Onion
1.0 Tbsp(14.0 gm) Nestlé A+ Curd
1.0 Tbsp(13.0 gm) Cream
10.0 Number(13.0 gm) Cashewnut
1/2 Tsp(3.0 gm) Ginger Garlic Paste
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Green Chilli Paste
1/4 Powder Tsp(0.75 gm) Black Pepper
1/4 Tsp(0.59 gm) Jeera
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
2.0 Tsp(7.0 ml) Oil
15.0 Ml(15.0 ml) Water
  • In a small bowl, add 75 gm chicken pieces, 1 tbsp Nestlé A+ Curd, 1/4 tsp black pepper powder, 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste and mix well.

  • Then add 1/4 tsp green chilli paste and mix again.

  • Take a kadhai and heat 2 tsp oil.

  • Add 1/4 tsp jeera, 1.5 tbsp chopped onion and saute till translucent.

  • Add marinated chicken to the mixture and saute well.

  • When it begins to simmer, add 1/2 cup methi leaves and mix well.

  • Once the methi is reduced in volume, add 1/4 tsp salt, water as required and mix well.

  • Then add 1 tbsp cashew paste, 1 tbsp fresh cream and mix again.

  • Cover and cook till done.

  • Serve hot with chapatti.
