Methi Jowar Thepla Recipe

A Gujarati style flatbread made by using sorghum flour and fenugreek leaves which is high in fiber, vitamins and minerals. Fenugreek is also used in preventing Diabetes and reducing bad Cholesterol.

2 Tbsp(17.0 gm) Wheat Flour (Whole)

1 Flour Tbsp(7.0 gm) Jowar

2 Chopped Tbsp(8.0 gm) Methi Leaves
ingredients
1/4 Tsp(0.6 gm) Haldi
ingredients
1/8 Tsp(0.54 gm) Salt
ingredients
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Ghee
ingredients
1/2 Tsp(2.0 ml) Oil
ingredients
As Required(25.0 ml) Water
  • In a mixing bowl, take 2 tbsp wheat flour, 1 tbsp jowar flour, 1/4th tsp haldi, 1/8th tsp salt, 2 tbsp chopped methi leaves, 1/2 tsp oil and mix well.

  • Adding a little water, knead it into a soft dough.

  • Roll the dough into a ball, pat and flatten it to make a thepla. Keep aside.

  • Heat a nonstick tava on a low flame put the raw thepla on it and roast it.

  • Allowing it to cook, flip, apply 1/4th tsp ghee and make sure both sides are browned well.

  • Garnish with coriander.

  • Serve hot.
