- Step 1
Heat 1 tsp butter in a frying pan, add 1/8 cup chopped onion and sauté.
- Step 2
Once the onions are slightly translucent, add 1/2 tsp chopped garlic, 1/2 cup diced tomato and the previously cooked masoor dal.
- Step 3
Add 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper powder and required amount of water, stir well.
- Step 4
Allow it to simmer for a few more minutes.
- Step 5
Once cooked pour the soup in a blender, once a soup like consistency is obtained, transfer to a serving bowl.
- Step 6
Garnish with a sprinkle of black sesame and a coriander leaf.
- Step 7
Serve hot.
