- Step 1 Heat a pressure cooker, add 2 tsp ghee, add 3 black peppercorns, 3 cloves, 1 bay leaf, 1/2 tsp jeera and roast all spices
- Step 2 Add 1/4 cup julienne onions and saute until golden brown.
- Step 3 Add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/2 tsp green chilli paste, 1/4th tsp garam masala and mix it well.
- Step 4 Add 2 tbsp chopped tomato, 1/2 tsp salt, and pour in some water
- Step 5 Add soaked masoor dal, soaked rice, 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
- Step 6 Close the lid and cook for 3 whistles
- Step 7 Give it a Nestle Twist by adding coriander leaves
- Step 8 Serve hot with Nestlé A+ Curd or raita
