- Step 1 Heat a pressure cooker with 1 tsp oil, add 2 tsp chopped onion and saute till light brown.
- Step 2 Add coconut paste, little water and mix well.
- Step 3 Add 1/4 tsp red chili powder, 1/2 tsp dhania powder, 1/8 tsp haldi, 1/4 tsp salt and mix well.
- Step 4 Add 2 tsp chopped tomato and saute until soft.
- Step 5 Add 2.5 tbsp masoor and mix well.
- Step 6 Add water to cook dal.
- Step 7 Give it a Nestle Twist by adding white sesame seeds
- Step 8 Close the lid and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
- Step 9 Garnish with 1/2 tsp chopped coriander leaves.
- Step 10 Serve hot with chapati or rice.
