Masala Uttapam Recipe

Masala Uttapam is a type of uttapam that is made with a variety of flavourful vitamin-rich vegetables. The batter used to make uttapam is the same as that used to make idli and dosa. It's very simple to make and adds variety to our regular uttapams.

1.0 Chopped Tbsp(13.0 gm) Tomato
1/2 Chopped Tsp(0.46 gm) Coriander Leaves
0.13 Powder Tsp(0.27 gm) Red Chilly
0.13 Tsp(0.56 gm) Salt
3.0 Tsp(10.0 ml) Oil
45.0 Ml(45.0 ml) Water
  • In a mixing bowl, add the uttapam batter, 1 tbsp chopped onion, 1 tbsp chopped tomato, 1 tbsp chopped capsicum, 1/2 tsp coriander leaves and mix it well.

  • Add 1/8 tsp salt to it and mix it well.

  • Take a frying pan and spread 1/2 tsp oil.

  • Pour a spoonful of the batter and spread it on the pan.

  • Sprinkle 1/8 tsp red chilly powder.

  • Cover & cook the uttapam.

  • Flip the uttapam and cook it on the other side.

  • Serve hot.
