- Step 1 Whisk 1 egg white while gradually adding 2.5 tbsp mashed dates.
- Step 2 In another bowl, add 1/8 cup oil with 1 egg yolk, water and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract and whisk it well.
- Step 3 Then add, 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, 3/4 tsp baking powder, and 1/4 tsp baking soda and mix well.
- Step 4 Once mixed add 1/8 tsp salt.
- Step 5 Fold the mixture into the egg whites mixture.
- Step 6 Divide the batter into 2 portions. Add 2 tsp cocoa powder to one portion and mix.
- Step 7 Brush a tin with oil and pour the vanilla batter and cocoa batter alternatively.
- Step 8 Use a toothpick to give a marble effect.
- Step 9 Give a Nestle Twist by adding walnuts.
- Step 10 Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and bake at 180 for 25 mins.
- Step 11 Check with a toothpick if the cake is ready.
- Step 12 Serve delicious Marble cake.
