This little sweet delight is generally prepared on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. Mango Modak is a twist to the traditional Maharashtrian modak recipe. This easy dessert recipe makes for a perfect prasad recipe.
In a pan, add 1/2 cup grated Fresh Coconut, 3 tbsp chopped Mango and 1/8 tsp Green Elaichi powder and saute well.
In a Kadai boil water as required and add 1/8th tsp Salt, 1/4th cup Rice Flour mix well till it leaves and pan and forms like a ball. then add Mango Pulp.
Mix all ingredients well.
Turn off the heat and knead a soft dough.
Allow it to cool, take a small portion, round it into a ball and press it flat on palm, now add the prepared filling and fold it into a modak shape..
Prepare the rest, transfer the modaks to the steamer.
Allow it to steam for 15 min.
Delicious Mango Modak is ready to serve.
