Makhana Paneer Sabji Recipe

Makhana paneer sabji is innovative, delicious and super flavourful. Paneer and makhana are a great combination of creaminess and crunchiness. It goes superbly with parathas with a touch of ghee or simply with roti. It makes for a super easy, quick, but scrumptious meal. Paneer is rich in protein as well as calcium and makhana are lotus seed or fox nuts, they are a good source of protein, carbohydrates, fibre, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, iron and zinc.

  • Take a non stick fry pan on a low flame and heat 1 tsp oil.

  • Add 1/4th tsp jeera 1/2 tsp chopped green chilly, 3 tbsp chopped onion, 2 tbsp chopped tomatoes and 2 tbsp chopped capsicum. Saute for 1 minute.

  • Once it is slightly cooked add 1/4th tsp haldi, 1/4th tsp amchur and 1/8th tsp salt and mix properly.

  • To this mixture add 1/4th tsp red chilly powder, 4 kaju and 2 tbsp makhana.

  • Mix this effectively and add 1/4th cup paneer.

  • Stir in 25 ml water and let the vegetable cook for 23 minutes.

  • Serve hot with chapati.
