This delicious Indian dal goes very well with roti and rice. Its filed with flavor and protein.
Soak and pressure cook black urad dal and chana dal. Keep aside.
In a kadhai,melt 1 tbsp ghee.
To that, add 1/4th cup chopped onion and sauté till translucent
Then add 1 tsp chopped garlic, 1/8th tsp hing, 1 tsp ginger paste, 1/4 cup chopped tomato and mix well.
Once the tomatoes have shrunk, add 1/4th tsp garam masala, 1/2 tsp red chilli powder and mix well.
Add water as required, then add the cooked dals, 1/4th tsp salt, 1/2 tsp chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
