Bottle Gourd Halwa In Coconut Milk Recipe

A Coconut milk flavored version of lauki halwa tastes extremely delicious and is nutrient rich dessert.

1 Cup(153.0 gm) Bottle Gourd (Grated)

1/2 Cup(71.0 ml) Coconut Milk

2 Tbsp(26.0 gm) Sugar

1 Tsp(2.0 gm) Cashewnut (Chopped)
ingredients
1 Tsp(3.0 gm) Almond (Chopped)

1.5 Tbsp(15.0 gm) Khoa

1/8 Tsp(0.25 gm) Green Elaichi (Powder)

1 Tsp(3.0 gm) Pista (Chopped)

1 Tbsp(15.0 gm) Ghee
  • Take a thick bottomed pan and heat it at a low flame.

  • Add 1 cup grated bottle gourd, sauce till the moisture dries.

  • Add 1 tbsp ghee, 1 tsp chopped badam, 1 tsp chopped pista and 1 tsp chopped kaju and mix well.

  • Add 1/2 cup coconut milk and stir and mix till coconut milk thickens a little.

  • Add 1.5 tbsp khoa, add 2 tbsp sugar, add 1/8th tsp green elaichi powder for a beautiful aroma.

  • Mix this well to ensure all the ingredients are mixed evenly.

  • Cover and let it cook. Stir continuously until the right consistency is reached.

  • Serve warm.
