Lau Ghonto Bodi Diye Recipe

  • In a kadhai, heat 2 tsp oil.

  • Add moong dal badi and fry it till it turns golden brown.

  • Remove the badis and keep aside.

  • In the same oil, add 1/4th tsp jeera and allow it to crackle.

  • Add 1 no. whole red chilly, 1/2 bay leaf, and 1/2 cup chopped dudhi.

  • Cover with a lid and allow dudhi to cook in its own water.

  • Once the dudhi is partially cooked season it with some spices like, 1/8th tsp haldi. 1/4th tsp red chilly powder, 1/4th tsp grated ginger, 1/4th tsp salt, 1/4th tsp sugar, and 1/4th tsp garam masala.

  • Mix and saute the spices well with dudhi and allow to cook.

  • Then, add fried badis and mix.

  • Garnish with 2 tsp chopped coriander leaves and serve with chapati.
