Kozhakattai, also known as 'Modak,' is an energy-dense South Indian rice flour dumpling with a sweet coconut filling that imparts a mouth-watering flavour. It's high in iron and makes an excellent festival dessert.

For Filling
In a pan, add 1/2 cup grated fresh coconut, 1/4th cup jaggery powder, and 1/8th tsp green elaichi powder.
Mix all ingredients well till jaggery melts.
For Dough
In a kadai, boil water as required and add 1/8th tsp salt, 1/4th cup rice flour and mix well.
Turn off the heat and knead a soft dough.
Allow it to cool, take a small portion, round it into a ball and fill the stuffing, sealing the edges.
Prepare the rest and transfer the balls to a steamer.
Allow it to steam for 15 min.
Delicious kozhakattai is ready to serve.
