Kothimbir Wadi Recipe

A blend of fiber and protein in a single dish makes a complete starter. Flavored with Indian spices and fried to perfection.

1/2 Chopped Cup(22.0 gm) Coriander Leaves
2.0 Tbsp(19.0 gm) Besan
2.0 Tsp(6.0 gm) Rice Flour
1.0 Tsp(5.0 gm) Ginger Garlic Paste
1/4 Tsp(0.41 gm) Dhania Powder
1/4 Powder Tsp(0.54 gm) Red Chilly
1/8 Tsp(0.29 gm) Haldi
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1.0 Tsp(3.0 ml) Oil
  • For Dough

    In a bowl, add 2 tbsp Besan, 2 tsp rice flour, 1/2 cup coriander leaves, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/8th tsp haldi, 1/4th tsp dhania powder, 1/4th tsp red chilly powder, and 1/4th tsp salt.

  • Mix all ingredients well and knead into a smooth dough.

  • Transfer the dough into a steamer and steam it for 10 minutes.

  • Cool the dough and cut into pieces.

  • For Kothambir Vadi

    In a pan heat 1 tsp oil and put the pieces.

  • Shallow fry the vadi until crisp.

  • Tasty kothambir vadi is ready to be served hot with an accompaniment of your choice.
