- Step 1 In a pan, heat 1 tsp oil, add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 3 leaves of kadi patta and let it crackle.
- Step 2 Add 1 tbsp each of chopped onion and tomato.
- Step 3 Saute all the ingredients well.
- Step 4 Then, add 1/4 tsp each of haldi, red chilli powder and salt and saute.
- Step 5 Add 1/8 cup cooked tur dal and 1 tsp each of tamarind paste and jaggery and mix well.
- Step 6 Give a Nestle Twist by adding black sesame seeds.
- Step 7 Khatti meethi dal is ready to be served.
