Khas Khas Halwa Recipe

Khas khas halwa is a super delicious, melt in the mouth kind of desert. One of the all-time favourite recipes, this dessert is enjoyed by all ages. It can be given to children as an afternoon snack or as a homemade treat after lunch or dinner as well. Khas khas, also known as poppy seed is rich in fiber, protein and potassium. Ghee is good for health as well when taken in small portions.

2 Tbsp(20.0 gm) Khas Khas

1/4 Cup(51.0 ml) Milk
ingredients
1.5 Tbsp(19.0 gm) Sugar
ingredients
1 Tsp(3.0 gm) Badam (Chopped)
ingredients
1/8 Tsp(0.25 gm) Green Elaichi (Powder)
ingredients
1 Tbsp(15.0 gm) Ghee
ingredients
10 Ml(10.0 ml) Water
  • Take a frying pan and heat 1 tbsp ghee.

  • Put in the Khas Khas Paste and roast it until it starts looking brown.

  • Pour 1/4th Cup Milk in the pan.

  • Let it boil and then add 1.5 tbsp Sugar. Keep stirring until the sugar is mixed evenly.

  • Add 1/8th tsp Elaichi Powder and 1 tsp Chopped Badam for a beautiful aroma.

  • Garnish with badam and serve hot.
