Raw Banana Thoran Recipe

Thoran is a side dish from South India that tastes very delightful. Raw banana and Coconut are both very healthful ingredients. A perfect healthful mix of vegetable and healthy fats.

1/4 Cup(38.0 gm) Raw Banana (Chopped)

2 Tbsp(12.0 gm) Fresh Coconut (Grated)
ingredients
4 No.(0.44 gm) Kadi Patta
ingredients
1 No.(0.75 gm) Red Chilly
ingredients
1/8 Tsp(0.37 gm) Hing
ingredients
1/4 Tsp(0.6 gm) Haldi
ingredients
1/4 Tsp(0.93 gm) Rai
ingredients
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
ingredients
1 Tsp(3.0 ml) Oil
  • Heat 1 tsp oil in a kadhai or pan.

  • Add 1/4th tsp rai, 1/8th tsp hing, 4 leaves of kadi patta,1 dry red chilli and let it crackle.

  • Now, add 2 tbsp grated fresh coconut and mix well.

  • To this add 1/4th tsp haldi and 1/4th cup of the chopped raw banana.

  • Mix all the ingredients well.

  • Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook.
