Jowar Halwa Recipe

Jowar Halwa is a soothing dessert or an accompaniment made using jowar ( sorghum Flour ), , ghee and jaggery. Being coarse in texture, jowar has innumerable benefits that you just cannot count merely on your fingertips. Apart from being an excellent source of fiber, jowar also lowers the level of cholesterol, aids in preventing heart disease, bolsters digestion.

Nutritional info

2 Tbsp(13.0 gm) Jowar (Flour)
1/3 Cup(67.0 ml) Milk
1 Tbsp(10.0 gm) Jaggery (Powder)
2 Tbsp(30.0 gm) Ghee
  • In a pan add 2 tbsp ghee, 2 tbsp jowar flour, roast till it turns light brown, add 1/3 cup milk

  • add 1 tbsp jaggery powder

  • Stir till thick consistency and serve Hot
