Jackfruit Dry Vegetable With Oil Recipe

With goodness of jackfruits and the good fats from coconut combined in a single dish, flavored with Indian spices and paired with rotis or rice to make a complete meal.

0.13 Julienne Cup(15.0 gm) Onion
2.0 Chopped Tbsp(25.0 gm) Tomato
1/2 Chopped Tsp(0.46 gm) Coriander Leaves
1/2 Grated Tsp(0.94 gm) Ginger
1/2 Chopped Tsp(1.0 gm) Garlic
1/4 Tsp(0.37 gm) Garam Masala
1/4 Powder Tsp(0.54 gm) Red Chilly
1/4 Tsp(0.41 gm) Dhania Powder
1/4 Tsp(0.59 gm) Jeera
0.13 Tsp(0.59 gm) Green Chilli Paste
1/4 Tsp(0.6 gm) Haldi
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
2.0 Tsp(7.0 ml) Oil
15.0 Ml(15.0 ml) Water
  • In a pan, heat 2 tsp oil, add 1/4th cup of jackfruit.

  • Saute well and keep aside.

  • In a pan, heat 1 tsp oil.

  • Add in 1/4th tsp jeera, 1/2 tsp grated ginger, 1/2 tsp grated garlic, 1/8th tsp green chilly paste and mix well.

  • Now add 1/8th cup juilenne onion and saute.

  • Add 1/4th tsp haldi, 1/4th tsp dhania powder, 1/4th tsp red chilly, 1/4th tsp garam masala and mix.

  • Add 2 tbsp chopped tomato, cooked jackfruit, 1/4th tsp salt and mix well.

  • Cover and allow to cook until the vegtable is completely done.

  • Garnish with 1/2 tsp chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rotis.
