Gurer Payesh (Rice Kheer With Date Palm Jaggery) Recipe

A traditional pudding made by boiling Nestlé A+ Milk with rice and flavored with dried fruits and cardamom makes an energy and nutrient dense dessert for any occasion.

1.5 Cup(307.0 ml) Nestlé A+ Milk

1.5 Tbsp(16.0 gm) Jaggery (Powder)

2 Tsp(5.0 gm) Almond (Chopped)
ingredients
1 Tsp(2.0 gm) Cashewnut (Chopped)
ingredients
1 Tsp(4.0 gm) Raisin

1/4 Tsp(0.5 gm) Green Elaichi (Powder)

1 Tbsp(15.0 gm) Ghee
  • Pre Preparation

    Soak 2 tbsp rice and grind into a coarse mixture and keep aside.

  • Preparation

    Take a kadhai and heat 1 tbsp ghee.

  • Add 2 tsp chopped almond, 1 tsp chopped cashewnut, 1 tsp raisin, 1.5 cup Nestlé A+ Milk and stir well on a low flame.

  • Allow to simmer then add the rice mixture and stir well till the mixture thickens.

  • Then add 1/4th tsp green elaichi powder and mix.

  • Remove the mixture from flame and add 1.5 tbsp jaggery powder. Mix well

  • Cool and serve it.
