Groundnut Curry Recipe

Spicy Peanut Curry is a mouth-watering North Indian recipe which involves cooking peanuts in melange of ground aromatic spices like turmeric powder and red chili powder. This curry is quite easy to prepare at home.

1/4 Cup(40.0 gm) Peanuts
1 Tbsp(10.0 gm) Peanuts (Powder)
1/4 Cup(29.0 gm) Onion (Julienne)
1/2 Tsp(0.46 gm) Coriander Leaves (Chopped)
1/2 Tsp(0.82 gm) Dhania Powder
1/2 Tsp(1.0 gm) Red Chilly (Powder)
1/4 Tsp(0.6 gm) Haldi
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1 Tsp(3.0 ml) Oil
As Required(50.0 ml) Water
  • Take 1/4th cup peanuts, boil and keep aside.

  • Heat 1 tsp oil in a frying pan, add 1/4th cup julienne onion and sauté.

  • Once the onions turn transparent, add 1/4th tsp haldi, 1/2 tsp powder red chilli, 1/2 tsp dhania powder and mix well.

  • Further, add 1 tbsp peanut powder, mix and pour in a little water.

  • Add the previously boiled 1/4th cup peanuts, 1/4th tsp salt, 1/2 tsp chopped coriander leaves and mix well.

  • Garnish with coriander leaves.

  • Serve hot with chapatti.
