Green Peas Makhana Soup Recipe

A great alternative to your regular soups, this green peas soup is extremely delicious and easy to make. Swap your croutons with some healthy makhana !

1 Cup(152.0 gm) Peas
1 Tbsp(0.87 gm) Makhana
1 Tbsp(1.0 gm) Makhana (Powder)
1/4 Cup(31.0 gm) Onion (Diced)
1/2 Cup(102.0 ml) Nestlé A+ Milk
1/8 Tsp(0.37 gm) Black Pepper (Powder)
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
2 Tsp(8.0 gm) Butter
As Required(150.0 ml) Water
  • Take a frying pan at a low flame, add 2 tsp butter, 1/4th cup chopped onion and sauté.

  • Once the onions are slightly transparent, add 1 cup of peas and a little water.

  • Cover and allow it to cook. Once simmering, pour it in a blender with a little more water.

  • Blend it to a liquid consistency. Keep aside.

  • Take another pan at a low flame, add 1 tbsp makhana powder and roast it well.

  • Pour in 1/2 cup Nestlé A+ Milk and stir it.

  • Add the previously blended puree, 1/4th tsp salt, 1/4th tsp black pepper powder and mix well.

  • Allow it to simmer until fully cooked.

  • Garnish with 1/4th tbsp roasted makhana.

  • Serve hot.
