Boil 1/2 cup chopped bottle gourd and keep aside.
Take a blender, add 1/4th cup chopped onion, 1/4th cup chopped tomato, 1/8th tsp haldi, 1/4th tsp red chilli powder, 1/4th tsp dhania powder, 1/2 tsp chopped garlic and blend well into a paste and keep aside.
Take a fresh kadhai and add 1 tsp oil in it.
When the oil is heated, add 1/4th tsp rai, 1/4th tsp jeera, 4 kadhi patta, blended paste, a little water and mix well.
When the gravy begins to simmer, add 1/2 cup chopped bottle gourd and stir.
Season with 1/8th tsp salt and mix again.
Cover the kadhai and allow to cook well.
Serve hot with rice.
