Fried Idli is made with mildly spiced sautéed vegetables and idlis. They are deep-fried until crisp and are mixed with curry leaves and other aromatic spices giving a slight twist to your regular plain idli.

To make idlis, first, prepare a greased idli tray with 1/2 tsp oil.
Pour batter into the tray carefully into each mold.
Put the loaded tray into the idli stand.
Cover and steam cook the idlis.
Remove and let hot steam escape.
Chop into cubes when cool.
Next, to make the tadka, add 1.5 tsp oil into a pan.
Add 2 chopped idlis.
Add 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp each of haldi, and red chilli powder.
Toss well until the chopped idlis turn crisp.
