Melt 1 tsp butter in a frying pan at a low flame, add 1/2 cup julienne onion and sauté.
Once the onions are golden brown pour in the required amount of water, cover and allow it to cook.
Once it starts boiling, add 1/4th tsp salt, 1/8th tsp black pepper powder, 1 tbsp cheese and stir well.
Take off the flame and pour the soup in serving bowls.
Take 1 slice of bread, toast it, sprinkle 2 tsp cheese and cut them in two triangles.
Place these triangles in the serving bowl and serve piping hot.
