PrePrep
- Step 1 Puree 1/4 cup onion and 1/4 tbsp tomato separately and keep aside.

For Coconut Mixture
- Step 1 Take a pan and dry roast 1/4 cup grated fresh coconut,1 tsp dhania seeds, 1/2 tsp jeera and 2 tsp chopped garlic.
- Step 2 Transfer the roasted mixture into a blender and blend it to smooth.
- Step 3 Take a pan and heat 1.5 tsp oil, add 1/4 tsp rai, 4 kadi patta and allow to crackle.
- Step 4 Now add prepared onion paste and saute till it turns golden brown.
- Step 5 Add 1/2 tsp red chill powder,1/8 tsp haldi and prepared tomato puree, saute till oil releases in the pan.
- Step 6 Once the oil releases add prepared coconut mixture and water as required, 1/2 tsp salt and allow it to simmer.
- Step 7 Give a Nestle Twist by adding white sesame seeds.
- Step 8 Add surmai fish pieces.
- Step 9 Cover and allow to simmer.
- Step 10 Garnish with 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves.
- Step 11 Serve hot.
