- Step 1
For Short Crust Pastry
In a bowl add 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, and 2 tbsp butter, and rubbed with your hand till a crumbly texture forms.
- Step 2
Add half portion of mashed Dates, 1/4th tsp salt, 3 tbsp Nestlé A+ Milk, and water as required and knead into a dough.
- Step 3
Roll out dough in a round shape then place it in the mould and trim the sides of the dough.
- Step 4
For Filling
In a mixing bowl add 1 number egg yolk, remaining mashed dates, and 1/4th tsp vanilla extract and beat well.
- Step 5
Add warm cream Nestlé A+ Milk mixture and mix well.
- Step 6
Fill pastry tin with filling mixture and sprinkle 1/4th tsp nutmeg powder.
- Step 7
Bake at 180 degrees celsius for 3040 minutes and serve.
