Dum Aloo Curry With Oil Recipe

Dum Aloo is a very delicious Indian dish generally made from baby potatoes slow-cooked in a spicy gravy. Spicy and delish is this Kashmiri dum aloo where baby potatoes are simmered (dum cooked) in a spicy Nestlé A+ Curd (yogurt) based gravy or sauce. This is a delicious recipe from the Kashmiri cuisine.

1/2 Tsp(1.0 gm) Dry Mango Powder
1/4 Tsp(0.41 gm) Dhania Powder

  • In a pan, heat 1/2 tsp oil.

  • Add boiled baby potatoes, 1/4 tsp salt, and roast well.

  • Heat 1/2 tsp oil in a different pan and add 1/4 tsp rai, 1/4 tsp jeera, 1 tbsp chopped onion, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste

  • and saute.

  • Add 1 tbsp chopped tomato, onion tomato puree, 1/4 tsp red chilly powder, 1/4 tsp dhania powder, 1/4 tsp garam masala, 1/2 tsp mango powder and saute the masala.

  • Add a little water and allow the masala to cook.

  • Add 1/4 tsp salt, 5 boiled baby potatoes and toss the potatoes with gravy.

  • Garnish with 1/4 tsp chopped coriander leaves and take it off the heat.

  • Serve hot with chapati.
