Dudhi Bhaji (Bottle Gourd Vegetable) Recipe

A typical Indian delicacy, cooked in every Indian household is the nutritious fiber rich bhaji suitable to be served with rice or rotis.

1/8 Cup(14.0 gm) Onion (Chopped)
3 Tbsp(38.0 gm) Tomato (Chopped)
1/2 Tsp(3.0 gm) Ginger Garlic Paste
1/8 Tsp(0.27 gm) Green Chilli (Chopped)
1/2 Tsp(2.0 ml) Oil
1/4 Cup(26.0 gm) Bottle Gourd (Chopped)
1/2 Tsp(0.46 gm) Coriander Leaves (Chopped)
1/4 Tsp(0.59 gm) Jeera
1/4 Tsp(0.93 gm) Rai
1/4 Tsp(0.41 gm) Dhania Powder
1/4 Tsp(0.37 gm) Garam Masala
1/4 Tsp(0.54 gm) Red Chilli (Powder)
1/4 Tsp(0.6 gm) Haldi
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1 Tsp(3.0 ml) Oil
As Required(40.0 ml) Water
  • For Gravy

  • In a pan, heat 1/2 tsp oil.

  • Add 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/8 tsp chopped green chilli, 1/8 cup chopped onion, 3 tbsp chopped tomato and saute.

  • For Bhaji

  • Add 1 tsp oil in a heated pan.

  • Add 1/4 tsp rai, 1/4 tsp jeera, 1/4 tsp haldi, 1/4 tsp dhania powder, 1/4 tsp garam masala, 1/4 cup chopped bottle gourd, 1/4 tsp salt and little water.

  • Cover and allow to cook.

  • Garnish with 1/2 tsp chopped coriander leaves.

  • Serve hot.
