Dal With Pumpkin Recipe

1/2 Cup(46.0 gm) Pumpkin (Diced)
1/4 Cup(53.0 gm) Tur Dal
1 Tsp(2.0 gm) Garlic (Chopped)
1/4 Tsp(0.37 gm) Garam Masala
1/4 Tsp(0.74 gm) Hing
1/4 Tsp(0.93 gm) Rai
1/4 Tsp(0.6 gm) Haldi
1/2 Tsp(1.0 gm) Red Chilly (Powder)
4 No.(0.44 gm) Kadi Patta
1 Tsp(0.92 gm) Coriander Leaves (Chopped)
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1 Tsp(3.0 ml) Oil
As Required(80.0 ml) Water
  • Pressure cook 1/4th cup tur dal and keep aside.

  • Boil 1/2 cup diced pumpkin and keep aside.

  • Take a kadhai and heat 1 tsp oil.

  • Add 1/4th tsp rai, 4 kadi pattas, 1/4th tsp hing and 1 tsp chopped garlic. Mix well.

  • Once mixed, add 1/2 cup cooked pumpkin, 1 cup cooked tur dal and mix it well.

  • Now, add 1/4th tsp haldi, 1/4th tsp salt, 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, 1/4th tsp garam masala, water as required and stir well.

  • Finally add 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves.

  • Serve hot.
