- Step 1 Heat a kadhai, add 1.5 tbsp ghee, add 1/4 tsp jeera, 1/2 tsp chopped green chillies, clove, 1/8 tsp hing, 2 tbsp chopped onion, 2 tbsp chopped tomato and saute until soft
- Step 2 Add 1 tsp garlic paste, 1 tsp grated ginger, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp dhania powder, 1 tsp haldi and cook the spices well
- Step 3 Add the cooked dal and pour in some water
- Step 4 Simmer over low flame until all flavors meld together
- Step 5 Give it a Nestle Twist by adding kasuri methi
- Step 6 Serve hot with rice
