For Dal
- Step 1 In a pot, heat 1 tsp ghee.
- Step 2 Add 1/4 tsp jeera and allow it to crackle.
- Step 3 Add 1 tsp chopped green chilli and 4 kadi patta.Saute it till kadi patta turns crispy.
- Step 4 Now, add 1 tbsp chopped tomato and allow it to turn soft and mushy.
- Step 5 Then add 1/8 tsp haldi, 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, 1/8 tsp black pepper powder, 1/4 tsp dry mango powder and 1/8 tsp hing saute the spices well.
- Step 6 Add cooked chana dal along with 1/4 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp jaggery.
- Step 7 Mix and add water to adjust consistency.
- Step 8 Give a Nestle Twist by adding sesame seeds.
- Step 9 Cover the vessel and allow it to cook for some time.
- Step 10 Then, add 1/8 tsp garam masala and 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves and give it a nice stir and keep it aside.

For Poori
- Step 1 In a bowl take 2 tbsp wheat flour, 2 tbsp maida, 1 tsp suji, 1/8 tsp black pepper powder, 1/8 tsp ajwain, 1/8 tsp jeera, 1/4 tsp salt and 2 tsp hot oil.
- Step 2 Rub the flour to mix everything together.
- Step 3 Add sufficient water and knead a tight dough.
- Step 4 Take a portion of dough and roll out a thick poori out of it.
- Step 5 Prick with a fork to avoid blooming of poori.
- Step 6 Heat oil in a pan.
- Step 7 Once the oil is heated gently drop the prepared poori and fry it till it is golden and crisp.
- Step 8 Now, add green chutney to prepared dal along with some tamarind chutney, 2 tsp chopped onion and serve it with poori.
