Dal Khichdi Recipe

A basic combination of cereal and pulses, dal khichdi is a traditional Indian dish. This nutritious, one-pot meal is pressure cooked all at once and is gut-friendly.

1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1.0 Tsp(4.0 gm) Ghee
210.0 Ml(210.0 ml) Water
  • Heat 1 tsp ghee in a pressure cooker or pressure pan.

  • Add 1/2 tsp jeera, 1/4th tsp rai, 9 leaves of kadi patta,1/2 tsp Haldi and saute.

  • Now add 2 tbsp tur dal,2 tbsp rice, and 1/4 tsp salt.

  • Add the required quantity of water and mix well.

  • Cover the cooker with its lid and cook for up to 3 whistles.

  • Serve hot, garnished with some grated paneer for a nutritional twist.
