Elevating the protein content of the dish, dal becomes the hero of the recipe and served with dates chutney elevates the nutrient content further more.
Soak 1 tbsp moong dal for 2 hours.
Coarsely grind moong dal.
In a mixing bowl, add crushed dal, 1/4th tsp jeera, 1/4th tsp saunf, 1/8th tsp hing, 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/4th tsp salt and 1 tsp dry mango powder. Keep aside.
Add 2 tbsp wheat flour, 1 tbsp suji, 1/4th tsp salt, 1 tsp oil and a little water to knead it into a dough.
Roll the dough, fill the stuffing, fold and seal.
Make into 4 balls.
Heat oil for frying and deep fry the kachoris.
Serve hot with dates chutney.
