Corn Capsicum Poppers Recipe

A fried cheesy snack easy to make with simple common kitchen ingredients is an idle snack for any party or occasion.

1 Tbsp(6.0 gm) Corn Flour

2 Tsp(4.0 gm) Bread Crumbs

1/8 Tsp(0.56 gm) Green Chilli Paste

1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Garlic(Grated)

1/8 Tsp(0.13 gm) Oregano

1/8 Tsp(0.18 gm) Red Chilli Flakes

1/8 Tsp(0.54 gm) Salt

For Frying(16.0 ml) Oil
  • Prepreparation

    Boil and mash 1/4th cup potato.

  • Boil 1 tbsp sweet corn. Keep aside.

  • For popper coating

  • In a mixing bowl, add 1/4th cup boiled mashed potato.

  • Add 1 tbsp boiled sweet corn, 1 tbsp chopped green capsicum, 1/8th tsp green chilli paste, 1/4th tsp grated garlic, 1/8th tsp salt, 1 tbsp corn flour and mash well.

  • Keep aside.

  • For stuffing

    In a bowl, add 2 tbsp grated mozzarella cheese, 1/8th tsp red chilli flakes, 1/8th tsp oregano.

  • Mix well and keep aside.

  • For poppers

    Take a portion of prepared potato mixture, fill in 2 tsp cheese mixture and fold and roll into round balls.

  • Coat it with bread crumbs.

  • Heat oil for frying and deep fry the poppers till golden brown.

  • Serve hot poppers with ketchup or dip of your choice.
