Chole Chilli Dry is an extremely easy Indo-Chinese recipe. It has the goodness of Chole, which is loaded with protein.

1/4 Powder Tsp(0.75 gm) Black Pepper
1 Tsp(17.0 gm) Tomato Ketchup
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1/2 Powder Tsp(1.0 gm) Red Chilly
1 Tsp(11.0 gm) Honey
1 Tsp(10.0 gm) Soya Sauce
1 Tsp(4.0 gm) Vinegar
1 Tsp(13.0 ml) Red Chilli Sauce
1/8 Diced Cup(14.0 gm) Capsicum
1/8 Diced Cup(15.0 gm) Onion
1 Chopped Tbsp(11.0 gm) Spring Onion
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Green Chilli Paste
1/2 Grated Tsp(2.0 gm) Garlic
1/4 Grated Tsp(0.47 gm) Ginger
1.5 Tsp(5.0 ml) Oil
1 Tbsp(12.0 gm) Corn Flour
2 Tbsp(23.0 gm) Chole
1/2 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
4 Tbsp(16.0 ml) Oil
  • Mix together chickpeas, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, 1/2 tsp red chilli powder in a bowl. Add 1/4th tsp salt and mix.

  • Add 2 tbsp cornflour and mix well.

  • Heat sufficient oil in a kadhai. Slide in the chickpeas, separating each of them as you put them into the hot and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

  • Now prepare the sauce by heating 1.5 tsp oil and saute 1/2 tsp grated garlic, 1/4th tsp grated ginger and 1/4th tsp green chilli paste.

  • Further, saute 1 tbsp spring onions slightly.

  • Now add 1/8th cup of each diced onion and green capsicum.

  • Saute for a minute or more, till the capsicum shrinks yet crunchy.

  • Furthermore add 2 tsp red chilli sauce, 1 tbsp tomato sauce, 1 tsp vinegar, 2 tsp soy sauce, ¼th tsp black pepper powder, 1 tsp honey and ¼th tsp salt.

  • Saute on high flame till the sauce thickens and turns translucent.

  • Now add in fried chana and 1 tbsp spring onions. mix well.

  • Finally, serve, chilli chana as a starter or enjoy with fried rice.
