- Step 1 Mix together 2 tbsp cooked chickpeas, 1/2 tsp red chili powder, 1/4 tsp salt and mix.
- Step 2 Add 2 tbsp corn flour and mix well.
- Step 3 Heat sufficient oil in a kadhai. Slide in the chickpeas and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Step 4 Now prepare the sauce by heating 1.5 tsp oil and saute 1/2 tsp grated garlic, 1/4 tsp grated ginger and 1/4 tsp green chili paste.
- Step 5 Further, saute 1 tbsp chopped spring onion slightly.
- Step 6 Now add 1/8 cup of each diced onion and green capsicum.
- Step 7 Saute for a minute and add 2 tsp red chili sauce, 1 tbsp tomato ketchup, 1 tsp vinegar, 2 tsp soy sauce, 1/4 tsp black pepper powder, 1 tsp honey and 1/4 tsp salt.
- Step 8 Saute on high flame till the sauce thickens and turns translucent.
- Step 9 Now add in fried chana and 1 tbsp chopped spring onion. Mix well.
- Step 10 Give a Nestle Twist by adding white sesame seeds.
- Step 11 Finally, serve, chili chana as a starter or enjoy with fried rice.
