The goodness of this wholesome traditional chola curry has been time tested. it's a great meal packed with plant-based protein, that helps regulate your appetite and aids digestion.
Soak and boil 1/4th cup of chole and keep aside.
Continue preparation by adding 1 tsp oil into a heated kadhai.
Next, add 1/2 tsp jeera, 1.5 tbsp each of chopped onion and tomato.
Add 1/2 tsp of salt, 1.5 tsp ginger garlic paste and saute well.
Add 1/4th tsp each of red chilli powder, haldi, garam masala, 1 tbsp chole masala and 1/8th tsp hing.
Saute all the ingredients well.
Add the soaked and boiled chole.
Add sufficient water, mix well, cover the kadhai with a lid and let it cook for 10 mins.
Finally, garnish with 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves and white sesame seeds for a nutritional twist.
